I’m pretty sure that Tiffany and Greg are the epitome of cool.
It may have been the warm temps outside, but the day was mellow and so were they! Somehow we managed to hit 7 different spots in the Crossroads district within 30 minutes, without any sense of being rushed! During their portrait session, they definitely appealed to my quirky sense of creativity.
It also sparks my creativity when my couples mix things up a bit and their ceremony setup was definitely not typical. Plus their super clean taste melded perfectly with the beautifully rustic interior of Arts Incubator. Gorgeous!
Take a look at some of my favorites!

Tiffany’s eyelashes look SO sixties in the image on the right….hot!

Eeeehhheehehhh……

I love catching children during prayer….

Instead of a cake cutting, they toasted their cupcakes. Super cute!

I would much rather have gone to Capri with Tiffany & Greg, but the Capri Sun was pretty tasty….of course my straw ended up poking through the entire container.

Tiffany and Greg, you two truly are cool and I’m so happy you found me! I can definitely see many years of happiness for you and I hope our paths will cross again soon!

So so so many things about this wedding…where to begin?? Well, first off I am SO excited to share these pictures with Amber & Theo. They put so much unique effort into their day that it really got my creative juices flowing. Fun! And most of their vendors were Wedding Hive members. As you scroll down, you will see a stunning wedding gown created and designed by Janay A. Handmade, a beautiful back dangling necklace by Scarlett Garnet Jewelry, brightly colored paper and fresh flowers by Ornamental Petal covering the stylish event space Californos and of course, photography by me. A veritable Hive-a-palooza!
There is really so much I would like to say about Amber and Theo, but I think this set of pictures says more about their amazing personalities than I can….not to mention how ridiculously adorable and photogenic they are! Take a look….

If I titled the diptych below, it would be “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, ‘SPPPDDDDPPDDSSST!!’ and Then, Bust a Move.”

So awesome that Californos gives newlyweds a brick in front of their space!

Pennies from heaven…just kidding – from their birth years.

Amber’s hand in her dad’s like that makes me want to cry like a little baby. Too sweet.

Amber and Theo, thank you so much for inviting me to document your day. I knew from our first little meeting at Starbucks that I was going to have a blast doing so, as well as make a lasting friendship out of you two! I hope you love these pictures as much as I loved creating them – - I CANNOT wait until our Day After session!!
P.S. We should totally do drinks again soon. Last night was fun. Lol.

I know it’s summertime and the LAST thing you want to be reminded of right now is our loooong and snowy KC Winter, but this is a blog with a happy ending!
If you’ve been here before, you might remember that Erin & Jacob got married on that last push of Winter (with like, 6″ of snow and crazy cold winds) in March, thus preventing us from taking any outdoor pictures. Boo. So when I told them about my ‘Day After’ sessions they were totally excited to put their wedding clothes back on, and outside we headed, on a (relatively) warm Spring day in May.
Oh, and did I forget to mention that we found an abandoned castle in the city to shoot at…?

Thanks again for being such a stunning couple with a cool and casual sense of humor, Erin & Jacob. It’s been a blast working with you!!

The Ceremony: St. Michael’s Archangel – Leawood, KS
The Reception: Hallbrook Country Club – Overland Park, KS
2nd Photographer: Tim Ellis (aka. my handsome hubby)
On this beautiful first day of May, Joella and Tim were set up perfectly, to have an exceptional wedding day and that they did! Joella and Tim are a kind, down-to-earth couple with a clean sense of elegance. And though they waited a long time before making in official, doing so made this wedding all the more special.
After a flawless ceremony at St. Michael’s we headed to the Mission Hills neighborhood where Tim’s family once had a home by the Verona Columns for their portraits. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. And I feel like I need to put extra emphasis on how wonderful the weather was so Mother Nature might decide to replicate it, and often!
Take a look at some of the highlights of Joella and Tim’s day!

And really, is there any better way to end the night than with breakdancing kiddos?

Thank you so much for sharing your pristine day with me, Joella and Tim. You are both incredibly sweet and I wish you a long and loving marriage!!

Portraits: Unity Village – Lee’s Summit, MO
The Ceremony & Reception: John Knox Village – Independence, MO
Wedding Coordinator: Debbie Carson
2nd photographer: Danielle Leann Agin
You may remember Tiffani and Robbie from our Western Auto rooftop engagement session.
I’d been anticipating this wedding for a long time. Tiffani is my sister in-law’s sister (so, my sister in-law too? You’d think I would know these things by now…) and the moment Tiff & Robbie announced their engagement, she made it clear that I was going to be her photographer. NO complaining here. I just adore Tiff & Robbie!!
Our family worked extremely hard putting together the ceremony and reception’s green and black decor with the amazing wedding coordinator Debbie Carson (also a long-time family friend) which completely transformed John Knox Village into an elegant setting to make it official. Stunning, really. And Mother Nature’s gift to Tiff & Robbie was to hold the rain. We most certainly thank her for her generosity and everyone else for their boundless talent!
Anyone that knows Tiff will likely say how stunning and sweet she is, and I would have to agree…Robbie would too. Der. And Robbie perfectly compliments her by being incredibly respectful, kind and a bit of a goofball – I mean that in the nicest way possible!! I feel pretty darn lucky to have been chosen to share in Tiff’s & Robbie’s big day and below you will see why!!

“Growl like a tiger, Robbie….”

Wait!? Is that my beautiful and talented, sometimes 2nd photographer, sister in-law Sissy to Robbie’s right??

This little guy was the ring bearer…I don’t think he likes hairspray.
And below that is my cutie-pie niece – the flower girl.

Tiffani & Robbie – Thank you so much for being so wonderfully ADORABLE and photogenic. I love knowing that you are a part of my family and that I get to nag you to hurry up and have babies so I can photograph them share in all of your big life changes! Loves you!!
